A growing number of Scottsdale Unified School District students are learning healthy lifestyles choices thanks to a partnership between their schools and Blue Zones.
The Blue Zones Project is a community-wide initiative designed to make healthy choices easier and more accessible for everyone. It is inspired by the research of National Geographic Fellow and New York Times best-selling author Dan Buettner, who discovered pockets around the world where people routinely live healthily and happily to be at least 100 years old.
With the recent addition of Sequoya Elementary, five of the district’s schools are now Blue Zones approved.
