Scottsdale school leaders budget nearly $500M for 2021-22

The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board unanimously approved the district’s $481.7 million expenditure plan for the 2021-22 fiscal year, which begins on July 1.

“As you know we’ve had conversations ever since January with respect to how this has unfolded and we are looking forward to the final presentation and board action,” said SUSD Superintendent Dr. Scott Menzel at a June 22 public hearing.

He said, for the first time, the process included gathering input from parents, staff and community members.
