Scottsdale resident among performers in Cardinals halftime show
During the Oct. 9 Arizona Cardinals game, Scottsdale resident Lucy Cook was among 125 cancer survivors and "previvors" who were honored and performed in the halftime show with team cheerleaders.
The event was a part of the Cardinals’ “Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer” game sponsored by Cigna.
This is the 13th year the Cardinals and Cigna have worked together to educate the community about breast health and the importance of preventive screenings during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This is the 13th year the Cardinals and Cigna have worked together to educate the community about breast health and the importance of preventive screenings during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Previvors are individuals who have tested positive for a BRCA1 or BRCA2 genetic mutation and therefore have a significantly higher risk for developing breast and ovarian cancer than the average population, a press release stated.
