Scottsdale real estate market down, but not out

While many key indicators suggest the Scottsdale real estate market is down, Phoenix Realtors President Sheryl Bowden is calling it a short pause in the market until the Federal Reserve lowers interest rates.

The summer doldrums continue into September, with Scottsdale’s August real estate sales and closings to date running below last year’s numbers, according to year-to-date data from Phoenix Realtors.

Likewise, the number of new real estate listings in Scottsdale are dropping though the median sales price keeps climbing.

While the news is generally grim, Phoenix Realtors board president Sheryl Bowden is still hopeful for the future.
