Police have sent out images that authorities said show a potential witness. They were taken from an apartment complex camera. The man is walking out the front gate about 7 a.m. Oct. 12. He has a backpack and is smoking a cigarette.
Police said he is the only person seen on the complex cameras during the 4-9 a.m. timeframe of the assault.
Anyone with information is asked to call 480-312-8477.
In an earlier release, police said that the fall weather may encourage leaving windows and doors open throughout the day and night.
“We would like to remind our community of the importance of making sure their residences are secure when they are not at home or at night,” police said.
