The Scottsdale Police Department is inviting community members to provide comments and feedback as they enter the Year 3 re-accreditation review with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement.
To achieve accredited status, the Scottsdale Police Department must comply with 462 standards, according to a press release.
Accreditation is valid for four years, during which time the agency must submit annual reports attesting to its continued compliance with those standards under which it was initially accredited. The department has been an accredited agency since 1994.
