The suspected homicide occurred Sept. 1 at a home near 68th Street and McDowell Road where police found Quaranta dead “in a targeted attack,” according to a Scottsdale police Department release.

A welfare check call came into the Scottsdale Police Department at about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 1, when the victim did not report to work. Officers were unable to contact the victim any other way and forced entry inside the home, according to the release.

Quaranta was found dead, and detectives and crime scene specialists spent the next several hours processing the home for evidence.
