Scottsdale police arrest man following Monday night shooting
A suspect is in custody in connection with a Monday night shooting that injured a man inside a Scottsdale residence, police said Tuesday.
The shooting occurred about 11:40 p.m. July 3 near 68th and 2nd streets, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, underwent surgery and was in stable condition Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
A woman also was inside the residence at the time of the shooting but was not injured, police said.

A suspect is in custody in connection with a Monday night shooting that injured a man inside a Scottsdale residence, police said Tuesday.
The shooting occurred about 11:40 p.m. July 3 near 68th and 2nd streets, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, underwent surgery and was in stable condition Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
A woman also was inside the residence at the time of the shooting but was not injured, police said.
“The call prompted a large police response as officers expeditiously made their way to the victim and the woman who were able to extract themselves to the back of the residence,” police said in a release.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives are investigation what led to the shooting.
