Scottsdale photographer’s work earns spot on Arizona wildlife calendar

Jackie Marlowe left Wisconsin for Arizona about 20 years ago and, since then, she has traveled the state and Southwest, discovering its environment and wildlife.

The photographer spent several years taking pictures of the state, one of which is featured among 11 other photographers’ works in the full-size 2026 Arizona Game and Fish Department's wildlife calendar.

“I will continue to hone my skills and my connection to nature and wildlife without end,” she said.

“I will continue to hone my skills and my connection to nature and wildlife without end,” she said.

“In the five years that I have been a serious wildlife photographer, I have not changed much about what I do,” she said.

“Knowing your equipment and loving the whole process seems to serve me well.”

Her photograph and the other winning images are published in Arizona Wildlife Views’ full-size 2026 wildlife calendar.

“Sharing this passion with the public and telling stories through social media has become a true joy,” Marlowe said.
