The Scottsdale Philharmonic is taking its mission to bring classical music to the people to the next level ... or next few months actually.
The orchestra is expanding its season into June, July and August to compliment traditional symphony season of fall through spring.
With the Phoenix metropolitan area growing to almost 5.25 million people, the demographics of the area have changed in the 15 years since the Scottsdale Philharmonic first started. So has the demand for classical music, Scottsdale Philharmonic Executive Director Joy Partridge said.
