Scottsdale PD receives DUI enforcement grant

The Scottsdale Police Department received a $50,000 DUI Abatement Grant from the Oversight Council on Driving or Operating Under the Influence and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for Fiscal year 2025.

The grant will allow the Scottsdale Police Department to fund expenditures pertaining to impaired driving enforcement at heavily attended Special events throughout the city, officials said in a press release.

Impaired driving and alcohol-related collisions have consistently remained a concern for the department, according to the release. This funding will help the department address these concerns through enforcement, education, training and public awareness.
