Scottsdale Police have arrested a man on suspicion of taping unsuspecting women during sex.

Julian Nixon is facing 24 charges of unlawful tape/record and voyeurism, according to a press release from the Scottsdale Police Department.

The department’s Special Victims Unit received a report from a woman who stated she found a hidden camera in the bedroom of the man she was dating, who was identified as Nixon.

After seeing the phone/camera, she confronted Nixon via text message, who admitted to secretly recording them having sex, according to the release.

He stated he records just in case a woman attempts to say she was sexually assaulted, or something was done without her consent and insisted the recordings were deleted, according to the report.

With this information, a search warrant was served on Nixon’s residence, where officers found three hidden cell phones in his room, recording the bed area from multiple angles, the release said.

Nixon was interviewed and admitted to recording women, but stated the videos were now deleted and he didn’t make the recording for sexual pleasure, according to the release.

Nixon was not arrested at that time, as officers had not yet seen any of the alleged recordings.

However, Nixon’s phone was also seized and a warrant was written. Upon downloading the phone, officers found over 400 videos related to Nixon having sexual relations with several women, the release said.

Officers were able to identify multiple women and contacted them. Four women wished to be victims and based of those four victims, 24 counts of unlawful tape/record and voyeurism were charged.

All the women had no idea they were being recorded and never consented to being recorded, the release said.
