A shot of hope

Scottsdale, Paradise Valley school workers get curbside COVID-19 shot

Local Scottsdale Unified School District education workers were inoculated recently with the first round of COVID-19 vaccines in hopes of completely opening schools sooner, ensuring student safety and putting parents’ minds at ease.

SUSD partnered with HonorHealth and Paradise Valley Unified School District for the first installment at a curbside clinic held Jan. 22-24 in Phoenix.

“It was one of those things that took a lot of time and planning, and I want to give a specific shout out to our partners at HonorHealth because it is not an easy thing to do,” said Dr. Scott A. Menzel, SUSD superintendent, at a Jan. 19 Scottsdale Schools Governing Board meeting.
