Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty’s charitable organization The Russ Lyon Foundatio, announce sits collaborative efforts with The Foster Alliance, formerly Arizona Helping Hands, to spread holiday cheer through a toy/bike drive and Holiday Joy Fest.
The Foster Alliance has issued a call for bikes to fulfill the Christmas wishes of foster children. The Department of Public Safety has requested 400 bikes to make these wishes come true, and The Russ Lyon Foundation is answering the call and the community is invited to contribute.
The Russ Lyon Foundation has curated an Amazon Wishlist to facilitate easy and convenient donations. Visit amazon.com/registries to view and select bikes. They can also be dropped off at The Russ Lyon Foundation's office, 7669 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, suite 110.
The Russ Lyon Foundation is also accepting monetary donations for the Urgent Bike Drive. Donations can be made at russlyonfoundation.org/events/urgent-bike-drive.
"At The Russ Lyon Foundation, we believe in making a positive impact in the lives of those in need," said President Stephanie Stewart, of the Russ Lyon Foundation. "The Urgent Bike Drive is an opportunity for our community to come together and bring joy to foster children during the holiday season. Every bike donated is a step towards making a child's Christmas wish come true."
Donation boxes are located in Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty offices, providing an accessible way for community members to contribute new toys.
The Foster Alliance and the Russ Lyon Foundation are collaborating with the Scottsdale Quarter to host a night of "Fill Santa's Sleigh" Friday, Dec. 8, at 15059 N. Scottsdale Road. This free event, running 4-9 p.m., will feature festive music with Arizona’s own Jay Allen, hot chocolate, characters and family-friendly activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring a holiday gift for a child in foster care.
