Scottsdale on ‘front end’ of latest COVID surge, doctor says

Scottsdale and the Valley of the Sun can expect COVID-19 cases to continue rising among children for about four more weeks, one Valley doctor says, as the latest surge has some “shifts.”

As the Delta variant of COVID-19 grows in numbers, Valley hospitals also are experiencing a second respiratory virus infesting children lungs.

Respiratory syncytial virus — commonly known as RSV — is spreading through children, two pediatric doctors told the Independent.
