Scottsdale offers North Carolinian mom care for stage four breast cancer

Mckean had ‘no choice’ but to leave family, seek care elsewhere

When Danielle Mckean, a mom of four, found out she had stage 4 breast cancer, the drug treatment requested by her oncologist was denied by the insurance company.

It meant she had to leave her family on the East Coast and seek treatment in Arizona.

“I had no choice but to seek care outside of North Carolina because they don’t offer a clinic that specializes in stage 4 cancer,” she said.
