Chaparral High School graduate and former state champion Ashley Brewer made her national broadcast debut co-anchoring ESPN’s signature show, “SportsCenter” last September.
While Ms. Brewer is the latest success story to come out of the Valley of the Sun, she never thought she would be one of the daily anchors headlining ESPN’s flagship program.
“I never thought I would be here,” she admitted. “I didn’t even think I was going to take this job if I got it. I’ve had plenty of people try to talk me out of this, but I wouldn’t trade this job for anything in the world.”
