Salt + Lime Modern Mexican Grill is supporting local nonprofit Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation through its Chips for Charity program throughout July.

Funding will be used to bolster Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation’s Childhood Activities fund, which financially supports enriching moments of joy for youth up to age 20.

Through the Chips for Charity initiative, the restaurant will offer customers unlimited chips and salsa for $5. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation.

The Childhood Activities fund covers the cost of a multitude of academic and extracurricular opportunities, covering everything from the costs of instrument rentals, field trips and summer camps to bicycles, books and special event clothing. The fund is available to foster youth and their families year-round.

Salt + Lime’s Chips for Charity supports a local nonprofit each month and has partnered with organizations like Arizona Special Olympics, Miracle League of Arizona, Treasure House and Nicole Hazen Fund For Hope. The initiative raises between $2,000 and $5,000, and the benefiting charity is presented with a check of the final amount raised at the end of the month.

Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation is a Phoenix-based 501(c)(3) empowering Arizona’s foster youth through funding services that enrich, educate and empower their lives, ensuring a successful transition into adulthood.
