Scottsdale mayor looking to set requirements for data centers

There have been no inquiries about placing a data center in Scottsdale, but Mayor Lisa Borowsky wants to be ready in case one comes along.

That’s why she has requested a work study session for the council to look at creating policy regarding the notoriously loud and thirsty centers.

It’s important to get out ahead of the issue, she said.
