Scottsdale man still missing after two years

Closure sought after two years

It’s been just over two years since Scottsdale resident Eathan B. Ristow went missing on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and his family still has no closure as to what happened to him.

Ristow, his wife and two boys spent most of Aug. 20, 2021 shopping in Fountain Hills and playing at a splash pad, but as the day got on and the temperature began to cool down, the family found an off-road trail near Shea Boulevard and State Route 87 on the reservation and decided to try their hand at four-wheeling in their 2006 Toyota Highlander.

Unfortunately, their vehicle broke down some way into the trail. The family stayed in the car while Ethan went to find help.
