Scottsdale man designs device to prevent preterm births

Scottsdale resident Ben Booher and his wife had a scary experience back in 1987 when their fist son was born early.

“We were fortunate at that time to have a very positive outcome, but we thought ‘Why did this happen to us?’” Booher said.

Then in 1999 the couple’s youngest daughter didn’t go full term either.
