MCDOWELL SONORAN PRESERVE

Scottsdale loses old friend

It had no name but was probably well over 100 years old, older than the city itself, and it died in the last monsoon.

It was the saguaro at the front of the Gateway entrance to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
