Scottsdale Leadership has a new 2023-24 board of directors.

Michael Wills has been elected board president to lead an executive committee that includes President-elect Joanna Peyton, Accumen;  past President Sarah Kearney, Blue Zones;  treasurer Matt White, Storefront; and secretary Erin Gerace, Nationwide Insurance.

“Michael Wills has a track record of strong community engagement, working collaboratively with a variety of people and organizations, and we are thrilled to have him serve as president,” Executive Director Lee Ann Witt shared in a press release. “We are excited to watch him lead this diverse and dynamic board of directors, who are energized and dedicated to making this 38th year of Scottsdale Leadership our strongest, and most impactful yet.”

The board of directors features Alleson Dunaway, Experience Scottsdale; Ann Porter, APS; Chad Arruda, Windom Security; Colleen Katz, Pictures in Pixel Photography; Erin Krivanek, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts; Jane Blacker, Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty; Jim Kollenda, Yucca Enterprises; Karen Armknecht, Chicanos por la Causa; Kris Cano, community leaderl Larry Hewitt, Boys & Girls Club Scottsdale; Lyric Naquin, Boys & Girls Club Scottsdale; Nick Alamshaw, Scottsdale Police Department; and Stephanie Tippett, city of Scottsdale.

“This year, Scottsdale Leadership’s goal is to ‘Aim Higher,’ challenging ourselves to make an even more profound impact within our community,” Wills stated.

Scottsdale Leadership offers a nine-month experiential program providing development opportunities through expert-led learning days and high-impact community projects for gaining personal and professional growth. Graduates have gone on to serve as elected officials, to serve on boards and commissions, and in leadership roles for many corporate and nonprofit organizations.

Scottsdale Leadership has graduated more than 1,300 individuals since its founding in 1986.
