Scottsdale judge goes to D.C. for Ukraine Action Summit

Group hopes to secure funding for Ukrainian war

The war in Ukraine comes down to a fight of good versus evil, according to Scottsdale Municipal Court Judge Orest Jejna.

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine is an evil thing that’s happened,” Jejna, a first-generation American whose parents came over from Ukraine after World War II, said. “But America and its allies are on the side of good.”

But there are other, more pragmatic reasons Scottsdale residents should care about the war in Ukraine, Jejna said.
