Scottsdale is a homes seller’s market

Fewer buyers linked to high interest rates

It’s a challenging time to be in the market to buy a house in Scottsdale - or anywhere across the Valley - according to Butch Leiber, president of the Phoenix Realtors Association.

And would-be buyers are picking up on that.

“We’ve had fewer buyers in escrow every week of (this) year of any time in the last nine years except for during COVID,” Leiber said. “Other than that we’ve had the least amount of business going on than in the last nine years."
