Scottsdale Historical Museum officially reopens Feb. 1

New look adds details to city’s history

The doors of the Scottsdale Historical Museum will finally open to the public on Feb. 1, after having been closed for more than two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic and new improvements.

Also known as the Little Red School House, the museum was established in the former school building that is a marker of the city’s longstanding history.

The building, which was erected in 1909, became the museum’s resting place in 1991 thanks to the efforts of the Scottsdale Historical Society, a group of impassioned residents dedicated to preserving the city’s history that manages the museum.
