Scottsdale gives $90K to market Museum of the West’s new exhibit

Scottsdale City Council members agreed they love the Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, but they would like more accounting for money spent on efforts to grow its visitor numbers.

The council voted 6-1 During its Jan. 27 meeting to give the museum $90,000 to market the grand opening of its new 12,000-square-foot addition.

The $12 million space, called the Louis Sands IV Center, will hold the coveted Eddie Basha collection of wester art.
