Scottsdale Fire Department officials will honor at 8 a.m. on May 13 three Costco employees for their life-saving response during a customer cardiac emergency at the store located at 15255 N. Hayden Road.
On the afternoon of April 14, Costco patron Barry Baker was waiting near the pharmacy for his prescription when he suddenly lost consciousness, according to a press release from the fire department.
Pharmacist Todd Gookin quickly recognized the medical emergency and immediately alerted fellow pharmacist Gary Bachmeier, who sprang into action.
