Olympic-hopeful competes internationally this season

Scottsdale native Camden Pulkinen has been spending recent years in Colorado, training amongst the best figure skaters in the country in hopes to be one of the best skaters in the world.

After training in Scottsdale until age 15, he attributes much of his success to moving to train at the Olympic Training Center. Inspired watching the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Pulkinen knew he wanted to compete at an Olympics, he said of his decision “to train amongst Olympians and to enhance my training to the highest caliber.”

Skating since five years old, Pulkinen is sliding into the national scene in front of viewers who may have caught a glimpse of his skills displayed alongside his name and hometown shown on screen as Scottsdale during a Jan. 9, U.S. Figure Skating Championships competition.
