Scottsdale features NFL’s first Black female coach for Women’s History Month

Collette V. Smith shares motivational story at SCC

Collette V. Smith, the first Black female coach in the National Football League, shares her journey, life lessons and challenges faced as a woman on and off the field to be a role model for girls and pay her success forward.

She presented her story at Scottsdale Community College organized by the city of Scottsdale in honor of Women’s History Month on March 21.

“Collette is truly an inspiring woman,” Scottsdale Diversity Program Director Jackie Johnson said.
