Scottsdale educators want more respect, trust from district

Increased value to teachers could address teacher shortage

In a quarterly report to the Scottsdale Unified School District’s governing board, agencies that support district educators presented an update as to where they are in solving the ongoing teacher shortage.

The Scottsdale Education Association, Scottsdale Administrators Association and Scottsdale Support Professionals Association voice teacher complaints to and works with district leaders to support improvements in schools.

From the SEA, President Becky Williams was at the Nov. 1 governing board meeting to share with the board members the latest findings on what teachers are needing and how best to retain them.
