Scottsdale council to consider scrubbing diversity, sustainability from general plan

All references to diversity and sustainability could soon be eliminated from Scottsdale’s general plan.

But opponents of the move say it may require a public vote to do.

Council is expected to take the first step during its Aug. 25 meeting toward making several amendments to the general plan that would include scrubbing the two subjects from it.
