Scottsdale council approves agreement to treat water for Rio Verde Foothills

The Rio Verde Foothills Standpipe District could be just days away from putting in place all the contracts it needs to get water flowing to the unincorporated community northeast of Scottsdale.

District board Chairwoman Meredith Deangelis said she hopes to have a contract with private water provider EPCOR in place by the end of the week.

In the meantime, the Scottsdale City Council unanimously approved a contract with the district to treat the water and allow access to it from its Pima Road Standpipe during the council’s Sept. 5 meeting.
