Scottsdale commission recommends no horses in preserve

Do not put feral horses in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

That was the message McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission voted 7-0 on Oct. 16 to give Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky and the rest of the city council.

Borowsky announced July 29 that she was considering introducing up to 60 of the famous Salt River horses to approximately 600 acres of the preserve.
