Scottsdale City Council Member Tom Durham is dropping out of the Nov. 5 general election race for one of two open seats on the council and his motivations are all about stopping fellow candidate Adam Kwasman.
Instead of running, Durham is asking his supporters to throw their votes to candidates Tammy Caputi and Maryann McAllen.
“I have been thinking about it since the primary,” Durham said. “Jan Dubauskas won a seat outright so that narrows the path to two open seats, and there are four people left for those two open seats, me, Tammy Caputi, Maryann and Adam Kwasman.
