Scottsdale City Councilman Barry Graham found in violation of ethics code

Judges on case feel the violation was unintentional

Scottsdale City Councilman Barry Graham was found in violation of the code of ethics related to the funding of a sidewalk project on 68th Street by a 2-1 vote of a panel of retired judges June 5.

The two judges who found Graham guilty of the violation both said they did not think Graham intentionally did anything wrong and felt he should not be penalized.

The city council will now vote to either accept or reject the findings, but it has no authority to penalize Graham.
