Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West could be growing soon.

The Scottsdale City Council is expected to vote during its Sept. 19 meeting on an agreement with the museum that would allow it to expand by 11,360 square feet.

The two-story addition earmarked for the southwest corner of the building would come courtesy of a $12 million gift from local auto dealer Louis Sands IV.
