Scottsdale council to consider cutting automatic license plate readers

The Scottsdale City Council will decide during its Oct. 6 meeting whether it wants to continue the use of automatic license place reader cameras in town.

After some lengthy debate, the council voted 6-0 during its Sept. 22 meeting to put the issue on the agenda.

Councilwoman Kathy Littlefield, who was attending the meeting via telephone, did not vote, though she and her husband Bob Littlefield could be heard discussing how they feel about the issue.
