Scottsdale City Council considers role of new sustainability plan task force

The Scottsdale City Council is looking at what the next steps should be now that they’ve repealed the city’s sustainability plan.

The council voted 5-2 during its Feb. 11 meeting to direct acting city manager Greg Caton to investigate the matter and prepare a written statement.
The current city council voted during its first meeting Jan. 14 to repeal the plan that took three years and $2.2 million to create. They also voted at that meeting to appoint a new task force to review plan and cherry pick what they liked from the plan in order to add it to their own version of a plan.
