Scottsdale City Council considering increasing solid waste and recycling collection rates

The City of Scottsdale’s solid waste and recycling collection rates could go up July 1.

City Staff are proposing a 2% increase in residential solid waste collection rates and a 4% increase for commercial users. They are also proposing a 4% increase in recycling collection rates.

That means a residential customer’s rate would go from $31.78 per month to $32.42 for the first can. The cost for an additional can would climb from $16.13 per month to $16.45.
