Eight candidates stated their case on why they should get one of the three seats up for grabs on the Scottsdale City Council this year during a sometimes heated April 13 forum hosted by the Scottsdale Fire Fighters Association.
Candidate Ethan Knowlden pointed out that his competitor Michelle Ugenti-Rita has lost election bids in the past while Ugenti-Rita fired back by calling Knowlden “a California Democrat.”
Crystal Carrol implied the only reason Ugenti-Rita was running for council was because she couldn’t get elected anywhere else.
