Scottsdale City Council candidates endorsed by organization with ties to the community

With the race for three open seats on the Scottsdale City Council coming down to the wire, the battle of the political action committees continues.

Candidates Michelle Ugenti-Rita and Bob Littlefield claim to have been endorsed by an organization with credentials that are difficult to verify.

Littlefield claimed in a July 7 Facebook post to have been endorsed by an organization called Scottsdale Citizens Against Mass Desert Development, or SCAMDD, and Ugenti-Rita followed suit a day later with a Facebook post saying she is “truly honored” to be endorsed by the organization.
