Scottsdale City Council approves priorities for CDBG money

Scottsdale will soon have a new pot of money to help the city’s most vulnerable population as well as residents looking to upgrade their homes or have emergency repairs completed.

The city council had its second public hearing for Community Development Block Grant money during its May 6 meeting and prioritized what the money would be spent on.

That means the city can start spending the approximately $1.6 million from the federal government on July 1.
