Scottsdale City Council allows Hirsch Academy more space at Paiute center

Scottsdale City Council consented at the beginning of December to amending a second license agreement for using space at the Paiute Neighborhood Center to operate a public charter school through June 30, 2021.

The Hirsch license agreement regarding using space at the Paiute Neighborhood Center for the nonprofit public charter school, Hirsch Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy, will allow changing the designated area permitted from a shared space to an exclusive use space for increased square footage.

Satisfying a Community Development Block Grant national objective and constituting a CDBG-eligible activity, the city entered into a license agreement with Hirsch Academy on July 2, 2018, according to a city staff report, detailing the tuition-free public education offered to students in kindergarten through sixth grade during the academic year.
