Scottsdale approves start of Ashler Hills Park

The construction project for a new Scottsdale community park at Ashler Hills is in the beginning stages.

In June, Scottsdale City Council approved a contract with Valley Rain Construction Corp. for $66,900 to provide pre-construction services for a 17-acre neighborhood park at Ashler Hills Drive and 74th Way. The community park is a part of the 2019 voter-approved bond package.

The new facilities are anticipated to include lighted sport courts, open turf area, walking trails/pathways, covered playground structure, restroom building, shade structures and a lighted parking lot, according to a city staff report.
