Scott: Unhappy with the revised sign ordinance

Posted

Already the overfly permissive redo of the town sign ordinance is taking off thanks to four members of the council: three newbies and a wild card.

Signs in medians, signs on the traffic circle next to Town Hall, signs in duplicate and triplicate right next to each other and signs left up all night.

Personally, I think it’s a bad image to publicize a gun show on the sidewalk leading into the Community Center. Let’s hope we don’t regret that kind of advertising.

Do we really need more signs at one intersection advertising an open house and the school district bond issue? The “No” signs, that’s a great message for our kids, especially when they exaggerate or lie about the issues.

So, congratulations, Fountain Hills residents. When you vote for those who act poorly, this is what you have in store.
