Schreck: U.S. must deal with Iran through diplomacy
When we begin with the premise that we must choose between hostility and diplomacy, it doesn’t take much of a stretch to arrive at: The United States must return to the Iran deal.
I’m a senior citizen and a woman; what does my opinion matter? Probably it does not matter all that much, but then again I have grown up believing in free speech and in the idea (or at least the ideal) that my elected representatives care what I, as a constituent, think about an issue our nation faces.

Schreck: U.S. must deal with Iran through diplomacy
Posted
Letter by Margret Schreck of Sun City West
When we begin with the premise that we must choose between hostility and diplomacy, it doesn’t take much of a stretch to arrive at: The United States must return to the Iran deal.
I’m a senior citizen and a woman; what does my opinion matter? Probably it does not matter all that much, but then again I have grown up believing in free speech and in the idea (or at least the ideal) that my elected representatives care what I, as a constituent, think about an issue our nation faces.
And so I write this letter to the editor of a newspaper in the fond hope that a responsible member of the legislature — someone for whom I voted and who represents me, at least in theory — will read and consider my opinion, and may, God willing, move toward our country’s return to the table and negotiate a deal with Iran that will move us safely out of a hostile confrontation that may escalate to a nuclear war.
