The Sun City man accused of possessing child pornography resigned from his position with the Deer Valley Unified School District last week, according to a district spokeswoman.
Curtis Scott Matthews, 54, resigned Sept. 24 after he was arrested in August on felony charges of child pornography, said district spokeswoman Monica Allread.
Matthews had worked in the grounds and maintenance department for the school district for more than a year. Police said there is no indication this incident involved any students.
