SCHOA election has crowded ballot in Sun City

7 vie for 5 positions

The Sun City Home Owners Association members will elect five new board members in November and voters will have a crowded ballot to choose from.

The SCHOA board has five seats to fill. Two are from resignations by Rita Tillery and Ritchie Miller and three are expiring seats. The expiring seats are now held by Jim Powell, Pam Schwartz and Jerry Walczak. The latter two will seek re-election. Other candidates are Edward Van Ness, John Terko, Larry Lathrop, Robert Wheat and Trish Smith.

“We are thankful for the seven candidates who have applied to run for the SCHOA board,” said Lisa Gray, SCHOA marketing and communications director.
