Ron Deadman will remain Sun City Fire and Medical Department chief and he will receive some help after filling a dual role for several years.
The Sun City Fire District Board of Directors Nov. 17, following a short closed-door session, retained Mr. Deadman as chief and approved adding an assistant chief position to the roster.
The assistant chief position is necessary to help ease the workload of the department’s chief, who has performed many duties an assistant would accomplish, according to Tim Wilmes, Sun City fire board member.
